Cyber-Stalking

As you are aware my blog has gone private.  I probably should have had it private all along, but didn’t want to make it a hassle for people to read so I left it public.  What finally drove me to make it private was I could see in the news feed who views my blog and I noticed a hit from Randy’s hometown. This was a red flag to me as he lives in the middle of no where and there is no possibility of anyone else I know viewing my site from that satellite.  As you know I have changed my blog address over a dozen times in the past several months and there is no way he could just go to an old book mark and view my blog. He is also no longer a friend on my facebook account so he isn’t getting the link from there. Thus someone had to really spend some time searching for my blog to find it.  Knowing his history of hacking into my accounts and stalking me throw me into a panic last night.  How did he find my blog and did he do it by hacking into my gmail/blogger account. I have been reviewing the traffic volume to my other blogs and I have been confused, as they have been set to private so I’m unsure how there is traffic to my blog unless someone has hacked into my account and is viewing my blogs through the back door.  After fretting over this for a few hours and making my blog private I figured the best way to get an answer was to confront his mother.  I’ve learned that contacting him results in giving him a chance to attack me and an endless steam of texts so I opted not to do that.  Instead I opted to take the high rode and as a public service inform his mother of his activities. I texted her the following last night: “Happy New Year. I just thought you would like to know that Randy is Cyber-Stalking me. As of now I am unaware if he has hacked into any of my accounts.”

She responded this morning with: “Just got your text. Randy did not stalk you. I looked up your public blog.  Randy has no interest in looking at your information and you have nothing to worry about. I don’t plan on ever looking at your blog again.”

My response: “Thank you for letting me know. I have now made my blog private to avoid any temptations he may have in the future.”

I figured to keep it all short and to the point.

But in the back of my mind I’m thinking: Why should I trust you that you aren’t going to research my blog again. It wasn’t like it was bookmarked and it took one click of a button to find my blog. I know it wasn’t that easy to find. The address has changed many times so I know you spent time and effort to find it. If what you say is true they why are you looking for in my blog? Did you find what you were looking for? Should I be worried? What are you going to do next? What are you going to do with the information you gathered?

To be honest I don’t believe her that she is the one that was viewing my blog. From what she has told me in the past she would do anything to protect her son and I would bet my life on it that she is doing that now.

I’m sick and tired of changing my passwords and if you are dealing with an expert hacker who has time on his hands, it’s like what is the point.  I did go to the effort of making my blog private so it will be a little harder for him to view it again, but I don’t really want to spend the time or energy on changing all of my passwords again.  I no longer have just one password for everything. I have several password and I’m having enough trouble keeping them all straight.

And this is my new life.... Life experiences make you who you are today.  Being married to Rand has mad me quite weary of people who have an addiction and who have OCD, can you blame me?!
